High brightness single-emitter based, fiber-coupled diode laser pump module that delivers 180W output power into a 200μm fiber core at a wavelength of 793nm, with a numerical aperture of 0.22.
The small footprint and low height design is offered in a simplified and robust package. The output power is attained by optically combining into the delivery fiber the output of electrically series connected single emitters. At 180W output power, the device features a maximum operating current of 15.0A with >40% efficiency. Also, high-temperature operation at 35 degrees Celsius is attainable, allowing for less dedicated cooling capacity or operation in a harsh environment.
The single-emitter, fiber-coupled diode laser pump module is suitable for pumping thulium-doped (Tm3+) fiber lasers for eye-safe applications.
